The GreatVines sales and marketing software–designed specifically for purveyors of wine and spirits–continues to garner both awards and new clients
San Francisco – GreatVines (www.greatvines.com) announced today that Boisset Family Estates has chosen its cloud-based software application to improve the sales and marketing capabilities of all of the wine company’s numerous brands. The GreatVines application will manage all three-tier trade sales operations, including key account development, distributor management, trade marketing and depletion analysis. GreatVines will also manage Boisset’s consumer-marketing programs, including wine club, online commerce, and tasting-room retail sales. The deal will add more than twenty brands to the GreatVines roster, including Raymond Vineyards and DeLoach Vineyards, and will expand the company’s portfolio of artisanal spirits and fine wines.
Built entirely on the Force.com platform, GreatVines is designed to increase sales results, enhance marketing capabilities and improve operational efficiencies–even for complex companies with multiple products and brands, such as Boisset Family Estates. GreatVines is widely acknowledged in cloud-computing circles as a software pioneer that provides effective, innovative marketing and sales tools, including CRM and business intelligence. Because of the software platform’s sophistication and depth, GreatVines is the ideal solution to measure sales and marketing effectiveness across Boisset’s numerous channels, wine styles and customer preferences. By utilizing proprietary scoring algorithms to analyze sales and buying patterns, Great Vines can provide unmatched precision in its assessment of offerings and allocations.
“We are thrilled to add Jean-Charles and the prestigious portfolio of Boisset Family Estates to the GreatVines client list,” says Jim Thompson, GreatVines’ founder and principal. “Boisset has consistently been recognized for innovation in sustainable business practices and fine wine production; their decision to embrace a more comprehensive and precise software solution reflects the visionary leadership behind this world-class producer and marketer.”
Innovation is a core element of the GreatVines mission, according to Thompson. The company was recently selected as a finalist in the Force.com Forty Innovation Showcase, a competition hosted by Salesforce.com. GreatVines created one of the first applications to process online orders using native Force.com technology, a critical piece of their direct-to-consumer commerce solution. Showcase finalists were evaluated through a rigorous selection process that included an exhaustive review of applications followed by in-person presentations to venture capital firms and salesforce.com executives. GreatVines will be a featured company at the Dreamforce 2009 Conference taking place on November 17 – 20 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco.
GreatVines provides superior software solutions for producers and distributors of wine and spirits. The GreatVines three-tier trade sales module builds upon the core capabilities and infrastructure of Salesforce.com CRM, to provide industry-specific tools, analysis, and methodologies which improve outcomes from distribution, key account activation, and trade marketing programs. In addition, GreatVines provides groundbreaking consumer marketing tools to effectively manage a combination of communications, events, and online offers for multiple wine clubs and brands, including website management and E-commerce. The cloud-based solution eliminates the need for costly web hosting and third-party applications. By bundling both consumer and trade management into a single application, GreatVines delivers comprehensive insight, real-time metrics, and strategically automated workflow not possible with other industry solutions. Principals Jim Thompson and Tim Jones bring over 25 years combined experience in the wine and spirits industry, in addition to developing and managing multiple enterprise software solutions.
