Senior Consultant and Business Analyst

GreatVines, LLC (new.greatvines.com) is an ISV partner of Salesforce.com and VAR partner of Nielsen with a laser focus on the alcoholic beverage industry – wine, spirits and beer. Our customers are both suppliers (producers) and wholesalers (distributors) with business challenges unique to the “three-tier system” on an enterprise scale. Beyond basic CRM account management, our Force.com applications are focused on three key functions: sales productivity, trade marketing and analytics.

GreatVines is looking for a self-motivated and dynamic consultant (contract to full) to guide customers through implementation, customization, training and ongoing success management. The ideal candidate would be a certified Salesforce consultant or admin, plus a Force.com platform evangelist who is extremely familar with the mechanics of custom applications and a master of reports and analytics with Force.com and MS excel. Our application is both deep and wide and requires a broad understanding of data relationships, loading and storage requirements.

This individual will be required to analyze the client’s business (company structure, sales methodologies, multi-tier goals, wholesaler relationships, trade marketing) and map the proper configuration of the GreatVines application set. This includes standard setup and user training as well as data loading and an intensive amount of configuration and customization, working with GreatVines principals. The individual may also be required to manage partnerships with 3rd party organizations focused on data migration and integration such as ERP accounting and inventory data. Knowledge of popular ETL tools is a major plus. The Senior Consultant will also be the lead resource during a customer implementation making basic project management skills a must have.

Other responsibilities may include:

  • Sales Engineering (demos and trial orgs)
  • Product Support, Development and Documentation
  • Coordination of multiple consulting resources (internal and external)
  • Keeping current with Salesforce new release features and roadmap
  • Logging implementation hours and billable costs

Other qualifications include:

  • Excellent communication and service skills
  • Ability to collaborate, give and receive constructive criticism
  • Ability to convey technical information to non-technical customers
  • Prior consulting experience preferred not required
  • Must be able to thrive in a small business environment

This position is extremely hands-on, both fast-paced and exciting. This individual will participate in shaping an entire industry by helping build and support the most cutting-edge application in this space. The position reports to the company principals and/or other senior management in the future.

The ideal candidate would live in Oregon, Washington, California (Portland, Seattle, LA, San Francisco Bay Area prefered) or New York. Telecommuting is expected and applicants outside of these areas are encouraged to apply. You must live in North America and be able to travel anywhere in the Continental US and Canada. Offshore is not an option for this position, sorry.

Compensation:

  • Hourly to start (30 hour per week minimum)
  • Competitive base salary, benefits and bonus upon becoming full-time
